Melissa Ashcraft is an International Equestrian who has traveled worldwide giving performances, demonstrations, presentations, and clinics. She is an extremely well-rounded and uniquely diverse trainer, clinician, competitor, and performer who offers beginner to advanced riding instruction in:

Melissa is available to host clinics at Transitions Equestrian Center in LaPorte, Indiana, or she can travel to your facility. Hosting a clinic with Melissa is both educational and rewarding, providing personal, professional, and financial benefits for the host.
1) Becoming a Clinic Host
Plan Ahead: Secure your preferred dates early to allow ample time for promotion.
Select Your Facility: Consider the following:
- Indoor or covered arena for all-weather use
- Round pen or arena options
- Stalls or paddocks for traveling riders
- Camper/trailer hookups
- Seating and parking for spectators
- Restrooms and meeting areas for lectures or meals
Choose Your Clinic Type: Melissa offers a wide variety of clinics, demonstrations, lectures, and performances. She will work with you to design the best clinic program for your participants. Unique events or specialized topics can also be accommodated.
2) Pricing
- 2-day booking: $725/day (additional fees if assistant instructor is needed)
- 3-day booking: $650/day (additional fees if assistant instructor is needed)
- 4+ days: $600/day (additional fees if assistant instructor is needed)

4) Booking
Sign a booking contract with deposit to reserve your clinic dates.
5) Marketing & Promotion
Promoting your clinic helps connect with current students and build new relationships. Tools provided include:
- Social Media: Facebook event created for your clinic with you as Co-Host. Lead discussions and share posts from Melissa’s Horsemanship page & YouTube channel.
- Flyers: Downloadable flyers for local posting at barns, tack shops, and feed stores.
- Email Marketing: Information sent to subscribers on our email list.
6) Auditors
Auditors can add value and generate income for the host:
- Recommended fee: $20–$35/day
- Discounted rates for full-clinic attendance encouraged
- Free passes for friends, family, or local trainers help grow future participants
- No auditors for Trick Training clinics
7) Business Development
We can help with:
- Fundraising, youth programs, open houses, holiday events
- Speaking engagements, retreats, or product promotion
- Sponsorships, including banners, vendor spaces, and social media listings
8) Accommodations & Meals
- Hosts decide how meals and drinks are provided.
- Out-of-town participants need hotel or camper information.
- Private accommodations for Melissa are provided by the host.
9) Participants
- Personally invite participants first to reserve spots.
- 50% non-refundable deposit recommended; full payment due 2 weeks prior or at clinic start.
- Maintain a waitlist for cancellations.
- All participants must complete waivers before the clinic.
10) Additional Events
Melissa can offer additional events to increase engagement and revenue:
- Q&A with Melissa: In lounge or arena
- Lunch/Dinner with Melissa: VIP experience with discussion/demonstration
- Mini Demonstration: Performance and Q&A with horses
Suggested ticket price: $10–$20; package deals optional. Melissa’s fee: $70/hour, host keeps the rest.
