Students at Transitions receive personalized instruction tailored to the needs of both rider and horse. Our comprehensive lesson programs are designed for riders of all ages and skill levels—from beginners to advanced—and focus on safe, correct horsemanship. Lessons cover equine behavior and care, grooming, basic stable management and nutrition, anatomy and biomechanics, tack care, proper saddling and bridling, safe haltering and tying, groundwork, and calm, balanced riding.
This individualized approach ensures steady progress, builds confidence, and strengthens the partnership between horse and rider, providing a solid foundation for lifelong learning and success in any discipline

Our Pony Club program is for children ages 4–7 and focuses on building a solid foundation in basic riding skills and horse safety. Lessons are conducted in a fun and engaging environment, helping young riders develop confidence, self-esteem, and a lifelong love of horses.

Designed for children 8 and up, our Junior Riders program offers hands-on horse care and riding instruction, emphasizing responsibility, horsemanship, and building a strong connection with their horse in a safe, structured environment.

For students with previous riding experience, this program offers a more structured curriculum that may include lessons, shows, and clinician-led sessions. The focus is on refining skills, building confidence, and preparing riders to reach their full potential, whether for competition or personal growth.
At Transitions, our professional and talented instructors provide instruction tailored to each rider’s experience, goals, and discipline. To ensure every student thrives, instructors are organized into three levels, pairing riders with the right teacher to build confidence, develop skill, and strengthen the partnership with their horse.
Our instructors are experienced, skilled, and dedicated to helping every rider reach their potential. Each level is thoughtfully designed to promote steady progress, confidence, and a safe, enjoyable learning environment, whether you’re just starting out, preparing for competition, or refining advanced skills.
Level 1 instructors are experts at helping new riders build a strong foundation. This level is perfect for beginners who are starting their equestrian journey. Students develop basic riding skills, safe horsemanship practices, and confidence in the saddle, all in a fun, supportive environment.
